The Internal Athlete is the creation of Sam Moor who currently resides with his family in the South Downs National Park, UK. For his local teaching schedule see: sussextaichi.co.uk

Sam has been training and teaching for over 25 years. Passionate about sharing the vast benefits that come from good body-mind training Sam aims to provide down-to-earth, sustainable and well rounded guidance. He offers group tuition, private training, seminars, retreats and teacher mentorship in Tai Chi and Internal Arts principles.

Sam has trained extensively in UK, Europe and China. He is instructor certified by the Chinese Internal Arts Association, the Chen Xiao Wang World Taijiquan Association, is an associate instructor for the Chen Bing Taiji Academy and an advanced instructor member of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain. He has a Ba(hons) in Philosophy and History and diplomas in bodywork and Anatomy/Physiology.

When he is not teaching or training Sam can be found enjoying time with his partner Antonia (antoniastringer.com) and their family. Sam has a passion for the natural world and is a keen musician.

Over the years Sam has written for a variety of publications on the subject of internal martial arts. Some of his work is on this site. He also works as a Lecturer in the same vein from time to time.

It is Sam’s aim to help more people discover the vast benefit, enjoyment and liberation that proper internal arts training can offer – but without all the usual dogma and doctrine.
